I made it into work this morning way earlier than I thought I would. Last night Rachel, Nate, John, and I hit up a rock and roll show at the Paramount. Phantom Planet. The Hush Sound. Motion City Soundtrack. Panic at the Disco. I had no idea there would be so many opening acts. Phantom Planet was my fave. Any band that stage dives gets MAJOR brownie points with me.
We were in the 2nd Mezzanine. Lucky for us there are no bad seats in that house. The funniest group of 12 year old girls sat in front of us. All in matching P!ATD sweatshirts fresh from the merch booth and glow stick necklaces waving their cell phones in the air between texts. I remember being like that. ...I still am like that.
We BARELY missed the 11:15p out of Seattle and had the pleasure of waiting until 12:45a for the next boat. Late night delirium set in after McDonald's. It was all for the best.
John was here all weekend. Late night grocery shopping. Pancake breakfast. Kung Fu Panda. The Office. Dogfish Creek Park. Long face. BBQ & bejeweled cocktails. Mmmmm. I miss him dearly.
