21 January 2009

Tsk. Tsk.

I shouldn't be blogging at work. But, Julie is out of the office this morning for a doctor's appointment. And I can't help but catch up on some online stuff. Checking my favorite blogs, reading the news, filing my taxes (!) : What can I say? I don't have internet at home.

I'm getting married in...a long while. I feel like I've been moving so fast since the engagement. I already have the dress, the venue, the invites, the girls, the website, the favors...it's all going to be done months before the big day. But that might be a good thing. Vendors I'm concerned about finding: photographer (know any good ones?), officiant (working on that through NewLife Kitsap), florist. My budget is...cute (think small). I wouldn't have it anyother way. My goal is to get as many friends/family involved in the process as possible. Weddings are about community anyway, aren't they?

My birthday was last week (thanks everyone for the well wishes!) Everyone tells me 24 is a great year, and I'm counting on it.

A few things I'm looking forward to, in particular for 2009:
1. Buying a car. Romy's been great, but it's time for an upgrade.
2. Taking care of myself. (This will manifest itself in all sorts of ways. No need to list them.)
3. Planning for what's to come.
4. Having someone to split weekend shifts with in Port Gamble! (this one is a huge perk! no more 12 hour Saturdays and Sundays!)
